It's a one time watch. Something you'd see with girlfriends or a B movie at home. I liked that you never could tell what the year was, and there was sort of a retro theme throughout the film. The gore isn't over the top. Something about it reminds me a little of You're Next. Maybe it's the resemblance to the main character.

I'm always the first to be dead set against a remake in this day and age, especially horror remakes, that said it WASN'T all that bad, it was interesting for sure, it COULD have been better but that's nothing new.

shareI went in to this with low expectations given it's rating here and was pleasantly surprised. Anytime IMDB and RT have vastly different ratings you should probably watch the movie. Anyway I thought visually it was gorgeous, and I found the killer to actually be pretty scary. He was so quick with his violence that it made it more effective for me. Definitely recommended for fans of the genre.

I liked everything up until the ending but it didn't totally ruin it for me. I was entertained up until the big reveal so overall it was still decent.
