Gay Scene

I've been a horror movie fan for years and I'm glad we finally got a damn gay couple. You rarely see any horror movies with a gay couple or a gay character. Finally!!!

I just saw this movie on Netflix and was pleasantly surprised how entertaining it was.

In regards to the 'gay' scene, my read is that it was time to que up the next victims, and the writers/director said, "What the hell...let's change this up a bit."

The dialogue didn't really matter other than to establish they were a couple of dudes horned up and not 'just friends.'

Heck, they even doubled down and made it interracial...in Texas none the less.

The folks who put this one together weren't going to win any awards, but I have to give them credit for appearing to actually try and craft an entertaining and strange movie. I've seem $100m crap movies that came out of Hollywood that has less energy and thought put into it.

Come to think of it, that's another great reason to avoid sundown in this town!

But isn't only like 1 to 3% of people in the US gay? So if it's that small of a percentage why do they need a big presence in a horror movie? Sounds to me like you just want to push an agenda.

reply

What agenda? I'm so confused by this "agenda" everyone's trying to say is being pushed? There's a 30 second gay scene and because of that there's some sort of "agenda" being pushed. That just sounds a little homophobic to me, but hey, to each his own.

i spy homophobic trash

I guess anyone who falls into a minority of any kind should be kept out of movies completely, otherwise the writers are just pushing an "agenda." Ugh.
