Did they know for months? Jacobs snowed the fans.

There's slowly appearing clues that the show WAS cancelled months age and everyone mostly kept quiet not to hurt the new episodes airings.

For instance, why do an hour show celebrating the fans in the tail end of the 3nd season? Those are two less half hour of scripted episodes. Plus the last two episodes "16" and "Goodbye" - this wasn't Jacobs heading bets, it was a producer who knew he wasn't getting a 4th year.

Sabrina booking tour dates months in advance when recording of a 4th season would have taken place.

Ryder's comments this week.

Disney's plan was 3 and out- 65 to 75 episodes to have enough to rerun for a few years. 30 episodes for Season 2 was part of this plan so they wouldn't need a 4th year.

I agree, the signs were there all along:

• Rider Strong basically insinuating that the show was over, with the announcement made in December of 2016.

• Sabrina Carpenter and her singing tour.

• ABC Canada slipped up by posting "SERIES finale" instead of "SEASON finale" on their website.

• Thirty (30) episodes in a single season. That's a lot, considering the norm for a sitcom is generally 22 - 24 episodes.

• Disney's track record of their previous programming. Some shows proceeded well beyond the three to four year seasonal limit, but others were canned, sometimes even at the end of a second season.

• The ratings. They're not drawing in their typical 2 - 3 million viewers like they were in the first season.

Girl Meets Goodbye (2017) - Pretty obvious that somebody somewhere knew this show was going to end. You don't say goodbye unless that's your intention. I'm sure they would have whipped up a completely different title if they were planning on sticking around.

I believe the fans knew this series was done for, so Disney went ahead and made an official statement.

Holy *bleep*, it's like unlike most people here you actually have a brain.

You would have to really question the World Meets Girl episode. It feels like a big F You to the fans.

You've seen it?

I'm Barry Allen & I'm the fastest man alive. Darn it Wally! I'm Barry Allen & I'm the 2nd fast...

i think they probably wrote the episode in a way where if it ended, it would be satisfying. they also probably left a couple of things opened, that way if it did get renewed on disney or another network, they would have a way to continue it.
