Why not just have Snoke in Palpatine’s role?

I haven’t actually seen the film yet but setting up a big bad in Snoke only to kill him off in the second film and then bring back Palpatine just seems stupid to me.

How would the film have been if they had just used Snoke for the role that Palpatine plays.

Blame Kennedy for allowing RJ to do that. It would have been far better without Palpatine in this.

I agree, bringing back Palpatine makes no sense at all.

reply

It is just poor planning, Kathleen Kennedy thought they could sell Kylo as the main villain.

reply

It would of worked better but thank RJ for that , i was actually intrigued about Snoke , could of been intreasting to see his story evolve.

Just seems stupid to me, like a big middle finger to the OT, now Vader’s redemption and saving of Luke is gonna be underwhelming because we know it was all for nothing as Palpatine survived.

Should have developed Snoke better and had him as the big bad in the final film.

reply

The sequel trilogy is just a rehash of the OT so it makes sense that they would rehash the villain too.

You could just ignore this movie and the two before it like I do, I also ignore Terminator: Dark Fate as that was a similar FU to its previous movies with the slaying of John Connor.

Why are there so many idiot trolls here saying "Well i haven't actually seen the film yet but.." asking stupid questions. "Well i haven't blablabla... but i heard Rey and Ren join forces against the Emperor", or "... but they say instant-heal is a force power now", or "... but it is said that Force Ghost Luke Skywalker lifts his old X-Wing in this", or "...but there seems to be a wheeled droid in this." etc. etc..

Basically, you havent watched the movie, but [SCENES]. Well, the answer is YES.

reply

In short, it’s cuz they’re idiot trolls. There’s nothing more to it.
