I don't think it's the millennials, a lot of us grew up on the Classic Trilogy and loved those movies.

It's Generation Z, those born from 1995–2014, who literally grew up on the Prequel Trilogy and of course, the recent Star Wars movies.

Oops, I got the wrong generation. Why are they called Millennials if they're still in the 20th century? Generation Z should be called Millennials.

Which is also total bullshit. I was born in 1995 and I f*cking hated TLJ.
Its my worse SW movie and I dont even consider it canon anymore.
after TLJ my least fav movie is TPM, followed by AOTC. My favorite SW movie however is ROTS. Followed by ESB, RO and ANH.
Different strokes for different folks. Its not a generational thing. Maybe prequel love is, but TLJ should be f*cking horrible to every fan, regardless of age.

Wow, we finally sound like the "old guys" we all used to talk about as kids...

But movies tv and music really were of higher quality back then. Everything nowadays is some sort of brooding crap and/or social message/PC.

Eh, when I was a kid I was pretty much saying the majority of kids around my age had shitty taste in movies, music, and tv.

Now you really do sound like an old person. Every era has gems buried in mountains of shit. And gems badmouthed at the time. Apparently people talked all kinds of shit about ESB at the time, and look at it now.

Well, I should clarify what I meant--I think there was a larger QUANTITY of gold compared to sh!t back then as opposed to now where that has effectively swapped to more sh!t than gold.

Let me ask you: Are you voting on a movie or are you trying to influence the rating itfelf?
That's were the difference lies beteen rating groups. Some IMDB users are rating movies the other
want to influence the rating result. For example I am a movie rater and I would rate a really bad movie 3-4/10 a mediocre one 5-6/10 a good one 7-8/10 and a brilliant one 9-10/10 ony in very few times I would go to the lowest rating of 1 just because of respect for the workers in the cast an crew involved.

Changing the ratings isnt possible at more then 160.000 rating members. So your posting is pointless. Any rating only shows how disappointed movie viewers are by TLJ.

IMDB only uses a weighted average. Means this score isnt any representation of the movie viewers impression at all.
