So are Millennials the one who love this new star Wars? Who are the ones that love vs hate this one?

Did not like 7 or 8. But loved Rogue One.

Same here. I'm 47

Same here, early 50s.

Loved rogue one as well and 7/8 not really.

Didn't like 7, hated 8. Enjoyed Rogue One.

Teen and pre-teen males and all feminazis sorry females up to 45, males over 30 are hating it and they are the only category with some taste and active brain without a Disney marketing hype lobotomy

In my little pocket of the world, these numbers seem spot on.

I didnt love it, I didnt hate it. I certainly didnt hate it as much as some people around here who are as eager to look for shit to moan about as the twitter users who think touching someones knee and gang raping them are the same thing.

Im not a millennial. Im just not a jumped up little shit who thinks his opinion is more important than anyone elses. Lets be honest with ourselves here. The millennials are the first ones to moan like fuck about nothing. If anything the way some are going after star wars it makes more sense that its the millennials that hate star wars. People here are acting like luke got bend over and buggered on screen for 2 and half hours. Thats such a millennial way of reacting to something you dont like.

43- I didn't like the story decisions in this movie at all. I am very disappointed.

But I did like Force Awakens.

29 yr old female millennial here. Hated it and was completely devastated when the credits rolled. I was in shock the whole time about what I was watching on the screen and how they had betrayed the character of Luke Skywalker. Call me over dramatic but it hurts when something you’ve loved and grew up with is destroyed in one fell swoop. I could go on but I don’t want to sit and complain all night. No one’s making me watch these movies. I’ll stop at Force Awakens and enjoy all of the other six movies. All have wonderful qualities but I couldn’t find any in this one. 😔

I’m 40 and could not agree more. Luke was my childhood hero and I hated him in this movie.

I didn’t hate it, but I didn’t love it. I thought the Force Awakens was great and Rouge One was amazing, but this one just felt different. I think it just felt to Disney for me. I hope the next one is better.

Unlike many, I didn't need more Star Wars. The 6 films plus Clone Wars and a novel or two makes it a pretty complete package. I don't see these new films as canon at all.

43 in two weeks. Here's my take:
I'm very much in the middle here. I didn't love, but far from hated. I'll need a second viewing.
The visuals were very good.
I'm not against what they did to Luke, it was an interesting direction. That being said, what was the purpose of killing him off?
One thing I found annoying was that there were too many light/comedic moments that distracted from the story. They're always there in StarWars, but here there were just too many of them, and ill-timed, in my opinion.
Laura Dern's character was pointless. She was too similar to Leia. They could have had someone else sacrifice themselves.

I’m 40 and I think you hit the nail on the head with the comedy. In the past movies I never felt the comedy was written in, it just happened. In this one it seemed really forced. I hated the beginning scene with the phone call, that just didn’t feel “Star Wars” to me. I’ll also agree Laura Dern was pointless. It’s like everyone and their brother wants a part in these films so they can say they were in a SW film.

I also don't understand why they killed off Luke and how exactly did that serve his character and story. Also I cannot stand the actress that plays Rey, Kylo Ren was more sympathetic and likable than she was.

54 old male and I loved it.

I just have to roll my eyes at people complaining about what Johnson did with Luke. His character arc was fantastic and complex and made Luke more sophisticated than he had ever been in the previous films. He never used to be my favorite Star Wars character, but now he is.

The film had stupid plot holes, but I'm used to that kind of nonsense in Star Wars--they are not a flaw unique to this one. My only real complaint was that the Finn/Rose side plot was boring and went nowhere. If he had taken out about 20-25 minutes of that crap, the film would have been much leaner and more effective.
