Why do Johnny and Mavis still look like kids?

They look no different from the first movie. Only difference is they're carrying a kid around with them. They look much too young to have kids. They should look like adults which they don't to me lol.

Well, they celebrated Mavis's 119th birthday in the first one, and Johnny was 21.

Plus the fact that they had sex is necrophilia.

I'm pretty sure undead isn't considered necrophilia. She's up and about and responsive (I'm guessing). One of the main attractions for necrophiles (and Bill Cosby) is that the body is lifeless and pose-able like a doll without having to interact with the desires of the victim as an escape from performance issues or basic selfish sociopathy in wanting only what's pleasurable for them without having to ask or come to an agreement.

The time span depicted in the film is seven years. People's appearances don't really change in seven years, unless if they're younger and still growing or they're older and getting grey hair or they're losing hair or getting wrinkles.

If you want to look at it from a technical side, maybe they reused the code for the characters from the first film, and just tweaked it a little, according to what the scene requires. Therefore, Johnny and Mavis would still look like they did from the first film.

Anyways, that's just my opinion.

Well, I'd say it probably will be done when it's done,
but that's only an approximate guess.

The real reason is it costs $$$ to build new models, so why go to the expense? It's a fun silly movie; do you really care?
