Let's use the same lame logic for Rey suddenly being a trained Jedi with other movies

Neo has one lesson with Morpheus, learns Kung Fu and defeats the Agents in the final showdown with no other training.

Beatrix acquires the Hattori Honzo sword with zero training from Pai Mei and defeats Bill with the five finger death punch.

Ender Wiggin jumps behind the controls with zero training and stops the Formic invasion.

If any of these movies had had this plot everyone would be up in arms and saying it's the dumbest story line ever.

But since Rey has never had any type of Jedi training and almost takes down a TRAINED Jedi (Kylo Ren) with years of training it's suddenly okay but fanboys want to use the sexist card for anyone who complains about.

I don't care if Rey was male, female, a wookie or a gungan it's absolutely stupid and ridiculous to use logic to dictate that someone who has zero knowledge of the force and zero training with a light saber can suddenly pick one up and beat down a better trained warrior.

J.J. Abrams is a hack of moviemaking, so he made her a hack of the Force.

False equivalencies.

Kylo Ren does not equal "all the agents" or Bill or the Formics.

Neo was the "one"... he doesn't learn the technique, he learns to will it, he xan do anything...

I don't know what the other movies are...

Anyway... StarWars is successful with Rey... She (the fictional character & the actress) doesn't need you to come to her aid... Why do you feel the need to damsel her?! πŸ˜‰

Just kidding! 😁 I have to make all this StarWars talk interesting to me somehow πŸ˜‰

Neo still needed a ton of training from Morpheus and was pretty much useless in a fight until the very end. Kinda like Luke in A New Hope.

The other movie mentioned is Kill Bill where Uma Thurman plays an assassin who... well, kills Bill using a technique taught to her by the monk who trained her. Essentially, she needed training.

I think the last one was form Ender's Game but I never saw it. I assume training was involved.

reply

Luke couldn't even take down Darth Vader until he had extensive training by Yoda and Obi-wan...had he picked up a lightsaber in Ep 4 and took on Vader he'd have been put down in quick fashion.

reply

Extensive? Ben had Luke train for a few minutes with a floating taser ball... Luke was able to see and block its shots without using his eyes, with no actual training beforehand. He didn't even know what the Force was before this movie.

Yoda had Luke for perhaps a few days.

Luke never trained in lightsaber fighting.

Vader has more years of lightsaber fighting and training than Luke has years in his life... Yet Luke somehow defeated him in Return of the Jedi.

Also, you don't know Rey's history. You're judging her based on one movie in a trilogy, with no backstory. That's why you're a sexist pig.

The worst part: What would be WRONG with Rey being more powerful than Luke, assuming it was the case? Answer that one, and good luck.

This explains it all.

reply

I've seen that before and yep, she's a Mary Sue.

reply

bump.

reply

The MaRey Sues have no explanation for this.

reply

No, they just spew hate about males hating women. They can't use their brains when they are clouded by idyllic visions of MaREY Sues.

reply

Yeah I had an interesting chat with Frograma this mourning and yeah she is pretty screwed in the head. Probably the most intellectually devoid conversation I have ever had. According to her if you don't think Rey is a well written character then that automatically means you hate her because she's female.

reply

Yep. That's the jist of the defense for MaREY Sue proponents.

reply

She is an utterly pathetic human being, I personally don't think she is a very smart person but that would make her obsession with Disney Star Wars make sense.

reply

Be on the look out for "movieseeker101" another one who asks people to prove why MaRey Sue is a bad character, yet won't prove why she is a good character.

reply

Movieseeker is too stupid to realize that it is all subjective and we never actually said that it was an objective fact. I have given my reasons why I think being a Mary Sue is a bad thing yet he can't provide a single reason why being a Mary Sue is a good thing.

Another deranged SJW Star Wars fanboy.

reply

You arent that naive? Luke lost against Vader in TESB. And even there he has weeks of training with Yoda. At ROTJ he already had years of of training as a Jedi and just then beat Vader, but still lost against the Emperor (only his father saved him back then).
Now we come to this most hated Star Wars character since Yar Yar, called Mary Sue. She has zero )zero != training and beta the best lightsaber Sith lord with decades of JEdi training (Kylo was only saved by a earthquake at TFA). She flies with ZERO training the huge Millenium Falcon like it was one of her small gravitational bound bikes and way better then Han Soo ever did (the guy which owned this ship for years). Also without ZERO knowledge she repaired the MF and knew it better then itss owner (which took most time repairing his ship in the OT).

Si okease keep your ideologic trash for yourself, cause YOU are the reason that this movies became that trash, that they are now. Cauise braindead fanatics like you are the reason that Disney could be allowed to release pure trash and still being supported by a few freaks (which are the clear minority now)!

reply

This kid from Tattooine becomes a Jedi after two hours of training with one master, and two days with another, and he does Force tricks that he couldn't have been taught...

reply

Rey beats the best Sith lord with decades of training with ZERO training. And Luke lost agsint Vader in TESB wih weeks of training. So get a brain pr at least a life.

reply

Highlander beating the Kurgan in the 1st battle in medieval Scotland
Daniel-san beating the bullies without Miyagi's help or winning the tournament without training
Dr.Strange beating the Zelotes and Dormammu without the Ancient one
Bruce Wayne becoming a vigilante and finishing crime in Gotham without training in Batman Begins
this is what this POS suggests cause you know Women are strong and can do anything they want

reply

Even Wonder Woman had to have training before she became Wonder Woman...

reply

Rey is far and away the most blatant Mary Sue in the history of cinema

First Blood: After the Vietnam War John Rambo goes to college, gets a Bachelors Degree and becomes an insurance salesman. He moves to Hope, Washington and he and Sheriff Teasle become good friends.

The Terminator: In the Tech-noir club Kyle Reese shoots the Terminator once and it is immediately deactivated. Sarah immediately believes Kyle so they drive to Cyberdyne, the convince the Head Programmer and CEO to never create cyborgs or skynet itself after a 30 second speech. Humanity is saved and Kyle and Sarah go make love on a beach and live happily ever after.

And they have a son and name him Steve Buscemi, who became a firefighter during 9/11.
