…enjoyed placidly floating on the surface of the water for hours at a time as I have knows when you inhale you float to the surface, when you exhale you sink. She inhales deeply then sinks. 🤷🏻♂️

I thought about that also but the boat was sinking around her and I'm sure there is some element of a 'suction effect' which might drag her down with it as water piles in from the sides of the boat as it replaces the space under the surface, creating a pressure above her. Just an idea.
