The movie is, like so much on Netflix, just a waste of time.
Reynolds is a terrible actor and his shtick has worn extremely thin.

I shut it off after the first 30 minutes with the cliche single mom, harried and running late, screaming at the school administrators for unjustly treating her outcast but good-hearted kid, with his precocious observations and dating advice… Basically the mother character in every Steven Spielberg movie from 1977-1982.

You disliked GoT in it's heyday and you have a crush on Reynolds and that is ok. But keep your mirror talks to yourself dude.
