soooo Ghostbusters?

3/4 of the new Ghostbusters are in this. Obviously not saying this is Ghostbusters, just thought it was weird they'd all be filming 2 movies together at nearly the same time.

reply

This film wrapped before Ghostbusters started.

Some people actually like working together, not that weird.

reply

I'm glad that after Ghostbusters bombed so hard, they still want to hire these people.

reply

it didn't bomb...

reply

Yes it did.

reply

No, it did not.

reply

If you lost $5-$7 dollars, would that suck?
Multiply those figures by 10's of millions.
Supposedly it lost $50,000,000 - $70,000,000.
I'm not a hater. I actually saw it twice in 3D.

I kinda want to see Masterminds even if it gets horrible reviews.
Probably will.

reply

Considering it is Ghostbusters, it was a pretty big miss. $144 mil budget w/ 128'ish total gross isn't a huge loss, but it is still a loss. I'd expect this out of a Hangover movie, not an entire franchise.

reply

LMAO!
Ghostbusters did not bomb.
It was not a spectacular success (certainly not what the studio hoped), but it was not the spectacular flop that trolls and detractors were hoping for. First, it definitely got much better reviews than the trolls expected (they really were hoping for it to become another Pixels/Fan4stic Four-level critical turd, but instead it got much more better reviews than bad ones (73 % fresh [Certified Frash] at Rotten Tomatoes). Then the trolls hoped for a really terrible box office opening, but although it was not a huge success, it was way more than what would constitute "bombing hard." The numbers are simply ok.

It bombed not as bad as Jem and the Hologram, but it bombed to the point where instead of making Money it Started to loose money (about $70 Million plus)
which is never a good thing

reply

If it didn't bomb, why they cancel plans to make sequel?

LMAO!
Ghostbusters did not bomb.

If you don't think $50 million dollar loss isn't a bomb you must work for the Obama regime.

reply

Agreed but that article is a prediction not the truth...look at the real numbers it did not bomb, it made money and Sony is in discussions for a sequel.

****Disclaimer I would never go see this horrible movie.

Ghostbusters did not bomb.

reply

Losing tens of millions = bomb. It was not profitable. If all movies went this way then none would be made. Also it was a slap in the face of all men and a great movie franchise.

reply

Isn't Christmas Party Ghostbusters?

reply

Masterminds was filmed about 3 years ago. Never released due to its producing studio filing for bankruptcy.

reply

The production company had financial issues and couldn't afford to release it in theatres last Summer. There is a decent chance this movie was done filming before Ghostbusters even started filming.

reply

They weren't filmed at the same time... so what about who is in it? There aren't any laws or rules saying actors or actresses can't work together more than once.

And that is 3/5 of the main Ghostbusters cast, not 3/4.
