Great Tribute for Longtime Fans
I loved this movie. but that said, I'm in my 50s and grew-up with stacks of Peanuts books.
It may not be exactly what the kids these days are accustomed to, but for someone in my demographic, it was virtually perfect.
The script was true to the vision of Schultz, even with the subtle changes in the characters (i.e. allowing Snoopy to have some genuine affection for Charlie, and having an uplifting story moment with the Little Red Haired Girl).
I actually appreciated the character changes that allowed for some degree of closure to the life-long loosing streak of poor Charlie, creating an ending with a long needed hopeful note - something Charles Schultz was never able to give us, but that his children graciously did.
