IMDB says that's the "estimated" budget. Who's estimation? Seems way too high.

Animated movies take ALOT of time

I quote from the very last frame of the film:

"The making and authorized distribution of this film supported over 12.000 jobs and involved over one million work hours"

Somedays you just can't dispose of a bomb.

Ok guys guys.... The Land Before Time 1988 cost 12,5 MIL....

So the dude with his 5-9 MIL... man it's not a simpson episode !!! and i'm pretty sure a simpson episode is around that !!! ONE episode !

I'm seriously struggling to believe it could cost $99 million. My estimated guess for this film would be maybe around 60 to 70 million mark. 99 million seems like a made up number to me. It's worldwide box office gross was well over $200 million so it made Fox a tidy profit, and that's even before dvd and tv sales have been added.

Animations are expensive indeed, but still I found this figure kind of high for this movie. Hotel Transylvania got made for 80 mi and looks more expensive than this (despite being an awful movie).
I assumed Peanuts had cost around 50 million, more in par with Boxtrolls or The Book of Life.

$99,000,000 for this movie is f'ing absurd. But I spotted at least one of the reasons during the end credits! They hired Kristen Chenoweth to voice Fifi WHO DIDN'T EVEN HAVE ANY SPOKEN DIALOGUE! If that wasn't a flying waste of money then I don't know what is.
