Desperation

They're surely getting desperate now. Mail sorting? Is that the best they can do to promote the worth of black women? And why promote any identity group anyway?

Wokeness is generally dying down anyway, but Hollywood hasn't noticed.

Why do you have to be so hateful? Isn't there something better you can do with your life?

reply

The poster has a right to express their opinion even if you disagree with it. It also seems hypocritical to call someone else hateful when you are constantly posting about how much you despise Trump and what he stands for. Isn’t there something better you can do with your life as well?

reply

I don't hate Trump, I think he's a fool and discussing something that affects me as a citizen of this country is politics and is completely different from racism and hating people for something they have no control over.

Most of us learned the difference between the two issues as children. Are you a child?

reply

The poster was not promoting racism or hatred of any race he was pointing out the absurdity of it he movie’s story.

You are clearly the child because you did not understand it.

reply

What we have here is an example of the fundamental attribution error.

When you do something, it's for good reason. When someone else does a similar thing, it's because they're hateful.

This is born from lack of empathy. You can't put yourself in the position of the other person or attempt to understand their point of view. So from you're perspective, the only reason they can say or do what they have is because they're hateful.

reply

Lol, I have to agree. Maybe it's an item for a news magazine show on PBS or something, but a feature film? Come on, that's actually sort of belittling.

reply

It's pretty racist actually..... so black women are better at licking envelopes and stamps due to their big lips?

This is one of worst things i have seen come out of Hollywood.

reply

Watch Critical Drinker's clip on the movie. He listed a bunch of more deserving women to have their stories filmed. They aren't black, though.

reply

it's a Tyler Perry film,
black stories is all he does and he targets his demo very well,
it's goofy as hell but if there's money to made Perry is a dog that'll hunt

reply

I know, right? Why can't they do a movie about Bessie Coleman? She was the world's first black female pilot and did some amazing stuff during the early 20th century with her flying skills. Now that would make for a fun movie, particularly when she did aerial stunts in France.

reply

Exactly.

Where are the films about the first black strippers?

Or porn stars?

Those who truly benefitted mankind.
