how dare people compare this to primer or eternal sunshine of the spotless mind!
#1 the acting is as bad as shortland street
#2 the story/plot is flawed and contradicted in the film aswell as being the stupidest idea on the planet

I have to say, with all politeness, that it's quite possible you may not have understood the nature of the movie. Based upon what you stated in your original post, I think maybe you should step back from what appears to be the story line. You might see the commentary it is making on the way we live & interact in "our" own universe.
I did like Primer very much and Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind was fine, it didn't get to me the way the other 2 did, but that is just my opinion. I do think that comparing these films is apples & oranges....even if they fall under the same genre.
Who will be first to have their backs against the wall when the revolution comes?

shareThere's nothing wrong with the acting in this movie. The fact that you believe it's bad doesn't validate any point other than the subjective nature of your argument. You don't like the acting... So what? because you didn't like it (for whatever reason you have) does not in and of itself make the acting "bad". It simply means you don't like it. I don't like people putting blanket objective terms on their subjective points only to appear as though their subjectivity is universally shared. It is not universally shared and I would venture on a limb that it's not even a view shared by anything more than the vast minority. Z list? come now, you have an ulterior motive for your clear disdain of this film if you can honestly call the acting in this film "z list". Perhaps it's lack of comprehension, perhaps it's a disapproval of the message or theme... I don't know nor do I really care. I didn't overly care for this film for my own reasons but the acting played absolutely no part in it.

shareI too thought the acting was bad, until I realised that Frequencies affect peoples emotions. Which is why the most human person - Zac, had the lowest frequency. The level of peoples emotions decreased the higher their Frequency became, until we arrive at Marie, who I believe was a good actor who was acting bad (emotionless).
Kind of ironic really, which is another underlying theme of the film.
