Thanks, it'll probably be a year before I get to watch series 5. I just finished series 4 tonight. Thought it was excellent.

You bet! Love the show. I freely admit that at times, a new twist in the story left me thinking, "wait, what? Where is this going?"

I do sort of wish they wouldn't drag the story out quite so much. Two, maybe three, episodes should be enough to tell the story. It's tough dedicating so much time to watching the resolution of one murder investigation.

As in he became a [spoiler]murder suspect or that Alan was his son? I didn't believe that he was actually the murderer, although the writers did provide plenty of doubt.[/spoiler]

We should probably move this to your season 4 thread, but oh well.

I feel this season contains too many convenient coincidences and it bugs me. In Russian we call it "a grand piano in the bushes" i.e. if you suddenly feel the urge to play and sing there you go and find a grand piano in the bushes.
Starting with a classical one [spoiler]"in this video we can hear something in the background that helps us identify the place where this video was taken"[/spoiler] following with smaller but still annoying ones.
