Lashana Lynch´s "character arc" (SPOILERS OBV)

1. Brags about being the new 007 rubbing it in Bond´s face.
2. Resents Bond and Bickers with M over who is actually 007 when Bond is reinstated.
3. Sudden change of heart out of nowhere, requesting Bond´s reinstatement as 007 thus "redeeming herself".

I mean she was whining and being hostile to Bond the entire movie and because she gives up her number, we are supposed to just suddenly like her? Well when you make a character annoying for the majority of the movie, that just doesn´t work. This is beyond horrible writing.

I wouldn't say she was hostile, just a bit of rivalry going on. And she really wasn't given enough screen time for the audience to properly connect with her one way or the other - I neither particularly liked nor disliked her. But yeah, for her to offer the 007 number back to Bond was completely out of the blue, and neither Bond nor M seemed to care much anyway. Not so much as a "thank you" from James, and it was totally out of character for her.

That´s part of the problem, if you have someone who doesn´t have that much dialogue, and is supposed to be a "good guy", why make her annoying in the limited time she has on screen? Hostile might be the wrong word but she definitely wasn´t friendly.

Yeah the world is about to be infected with nanobots but let’s make sure that Bond gets his number (which means nothing within universe) back.
