Billie Eilish - No Time to Die
The official theme song just dropped:

I don't like it. I can barely understand the words.

I felt the song was very flat, no tension. The melody was alright enough but the vocals seemed far too much the same throughout. I was never a big fan of "Writings on the Wall" but this makes that seem spectacular. Maybe that's a bit of an exaggeration but you get the point.
shareThe dynamics are completely off. The whole song is flat with no variations in volume, both the vocals and instruments. They should really go back and re-mix and re-record the entire thing. It's also just too dark in tone. This is three films in a row now with a very dark title song. There will be no time for fun while watching this one.
shareAgreed. I honestly feel they're just making the same song again and again. They all sound very much the same.
shareYou must actually care a lot if you're still here bitching about a movie you're probably gonna see
shareAtrocious. Ariana Grande was the one to go with for this song. Billie will put everyone to sleep.
shareWOW HOW ORIGINAL!!!... it basically has the same structure as ‘the writings on the wall’
shareYep... would have actually been better if Sam Smith had sung it instead of Elish... Well anyone would have done a better job than Billie on this one. I still need subtitles in parts of it just to know what the hell she's gasping about. Has to be the airiest song I've heard.
shareIf Lemmy was still alive, that's who I would have gone with to sing this song.
shareOne thing's for sure: It's definitely TIME for that song TO DIE! :-)
shareIt's alright - better than the Sam Smith song at least. These themes always suit people with more restrained voices so the orchestral elements get to come through, so she's a logical choice from that perspective.
shareThe orchestral arrangement can barely be heard though. The mix is so dynamically flat.
shareNothing special, forgettable actually, maybe it'll get better upon hearing it a few more times but it's better than that awful Sam Smith song, still the worst Bond song in my opinion.
Worse than "The Man With the Golden Gun"?
shareThat song has amazing lyrics!
He has a powerful weapon
He charges a million a shot
An assassin that's second to none
The man with the golden gun
Lurking in some darkened doorway
Or crouched on a rooftop somewhere
In the next room, or this very one
The man with the golden gun
Love is required, whenever he's hired
It comes just before the kill
No one can catch him, no hitman can match him
For his million dollar skill
One golden shot means another poor victim
Has come to a glittering end
For a price, he'll erase anyone
The man with the golden gun
His eye may be on you or me
Who will he bang?
We shall see, oh yeah!
Love is required, whenever he's hired
It comes just…
I know Good God.
shareI think it’s okay, but I don’t understand how Radiohead’s spectre was deemed to be too moody and depressing but this is okay.
shareGoldfinger
Thunderball
You Only Live Twice
Diamonds are Forever
Live and Let Die
Nobody Does it Better
A View to a Kill....
....this one. Is it as "Bondian" as those?
Doesn't sound like it for me.
But then this is the 21st century and this is the music of our day.
