It is Losing To Mission:Impossible in the Spy Action Genre

It's been happening for over a decade and a half now, at least. Bond was losing ground to the XXX franchise and Jason Bourne as well (but I don't think we've heard anything out of those two in awhile). I do think it's time for Bond to either hang it up for good or be revamped into a series that only takes place in the mid to late 20th century.

Yes, Rouge Nation was better than Spectre and the MI franchise has been doing really good since the third movie but I don’t think Bond should stop.

Spectre was just a small slip up not a sign to finish it. With Craig we have had one hit one fail one hit one fail. So I think no time to die will be a huge hit to put Bond in the map again.

I do admit Spectre got people doubting if this franchise was still relevant or people still cared for Bond because Star Wars completely eclipsed it.

If Bond wasn’t able to compete against Star Wars something is going wrong with Bond but ughh I think it’s nothing really to be scared off just a slip up and lack of interest from Barbara to give it a big campaign. Like she didn’t care much for Spectre.

It was like yeah okay it’s not gonna be our best bond movie and we don’t care much to loose this time and will go back up with the next movie.

The James Bond novels by Ian Fleming are set during the Cold War, Bond has been a spy out of time for years, maybe after this movie it would be good to set the films back in the 50's or 60's. I know they won't though! Too many ignorant casuals think it’s a codename still.

Disagree. I don't feel these franchises are competing with each other even though the themes are the same. MI is about the job and Bond is about the character. The thing that dooms the Bond franchise is woke culture. They should just bring Connery Bond that smokes, drinks, kills and womanizes all for Queen and country. Just make them counter culture movies. I'm sure it'll still be profitable.
