Apparently Daniel Craig wants Ed Sheeran as the singer for Bond 25.
Thoughts?

shareThat's absolutely terrible and doesn't resemble Bond music at all.
shareDidn't stop them from using shitty songs in Die Another Day, Skyfall and Spectre.
shareWith so many great title songs in the Bond series, it's absolutely inexplicable that Adele and Sam Smith are the only ones to have won the original song Oscar for a Bond film.
Skyfall, the song, is probably even more overrated than the actual movie is.
It's true that a lot of questionable choices have been made regarding the music in the post-2000s films.
I saw Spectre in the cinema and I had forgotten every aspect of the theme song after about 15 seconds. Mind blowing it got an Oscar.
shareThe composition is actually okay, but the choice of Sam Smith for vocals was terrible, and it was a sad and pathetic attempt for Barbara Broccoli and Eon Productions to pretend that they are still relevant and a huge part of pop culture. If you search YouTube for a cover of this song by the Bond cover band "Q the music show" you can see a pretty good version of it with female vocals, and it's quite nice. It's much better with a real woman singing it rather than femboy Sam Smith. The lyrics could definitely be improved though. "I wanna feel love" in a Bond film makes me puke.
shareIt's an improvement for sure. I still don't think the base song is any good though. It just doesn't flow for me.
shareBond films seem to always go after popular singers at that time in history, so this is no surprise. Could be worse
shareEd Sheeran is 100% the correct choice for the type of singer who should be singing the theme song for a Daniel Craig "James Bond" film...
