shareMaybe thats because his dad left him in the middle of nowhere , the nearest to a bed having a first-aid kit !!!
NOT A PROBLEM OF BUDGET!
a mayor city, capital of the nation is the middle of nowhere? come on. It was a disrespectful and sloppy representation of a hospital. Not a normal building, 2 stupid ambulances parked awkwardly and flood lights...yep that is a hospital alright that can attend to an abdominal stabbing! stop looking for excuses. the film is a piece of sh...t
shareThis is a nitpick. Most movies do this, aka, pretend a location is something when in reality it's not that something.
sharePaco, you're argument is just ridiculous. It's just a movie! You're taking this waaay too seriously. Even if it IS a psychiatric hospital in the movie, they still have doctors in there to attend to him.
Personally, I thought the "hospital" entrance looked a bit off (ie, they only have stairs to access the hospital?). But, doesn't take away the fact that he had a GUN SHOT wound and had to go to the nearest place to get attention.
Gosh, I hope you're just trolling because if you're not, just get over your pride. Look at how overwhelming the argument is going against you. Lol.
I made a simple comment (a valid comment) idiots like you take it in a different direction and it is absurd.
You contradict yourself in the response. Yes it was "a bit off"
Nearest hospital for attention???
They drive there! and he calmly gets out and walks.... but maybe he was going to get his head checked.
Psychiatrist attend to a lung gunshot? in your dreams!
Pride? What are you talking about....How ignorant can you be?
Make your point and don't label the comment ridiculous, reply with some facts.
Plain and simple. The movie is a piece of *beep* and the last scene insulting to those that have a brain.
What are you on about a psychiatrist attending to a gunshot wound? There must always be an infirmary at a psychiatric hospital. And at an infirmary, who is in charge of taking care of patients? Yes of course, a DOCTOR. Lol.
shareThank you! I came to IMDB to see if someone also had picked that up.
Spanish is not even my first language. I just saw that crappy hospital, and wanted to read the name of the building, and there it was... kinda ruined the moment for me, but I was honestly hoping it was on purpose, being the title "FOCUS", and the message on the cover "never lose focus".
I don't get all these people complaining about your criticism
thank you!
they lost focus for sure
Maybe that was part of the point. "Dad" shot his "son" took all the money, then dropped them off at the nearest medical facility, any medical facility.
As you noted earlier, the name of the actual hospital was listed. If the production team wanted to fake it, they would have changed the sign.
I don't trust people who don't like pets and I don't trust people who pets don't like.
oh my God...for the last time
"any medical facility"....and they tried to portray the place with 2 ambulances placed awkwardly in front and flood lights....yep that is a medical institution for sure!
they didn't want to fake it....they were stupid and sloppy...implying that these are the type of hospitals available in a south American country
final comment...tired of ignorant fools!
In no way did anyone deserve to be called "ignorant fools" for trying to suggest other reasons the scene may have been shot the way it was. I certainly didn't deserve to be called any name for politely responding to your post.
If you don't agree, fine. But disagreeing with you or thinking differntly doesn't make others "ignorant", "fools" nor "idiots."
The only "ignorant fool" would be someone who makes a judgement about real life based on a fictional movie. Or, judges the medical system of an entire continent based on a Will Smith movie. The facade of a hospital in a movie is no more a depiction of all of South American medical care than your seemingly short-tempered, combative, abusive, name-calling attitude when disagreed with would be representative of all Spanish speakers.
And those who make such judgments are unlikely to be the type visiting the continent anyway. So you probably shouldn't fret over it too much.
If all you wanted was a pat on the back for your oh so unique and clever assessment that it was "sloppy" and "stupid" instead of any kind of discussion, perhaps you should have posted the comment to your Facebook friends who think like you instead of a public forum.
I don't trust people who don't like pets and I don't trust people who pets don't like.
I thought that it was more weird that they left the car and then struggled all the way to the entrance.
