Cannot believe this made more Money at the box office than Spectre
I never would have expected that
shareI never would have expected that
shareit did not (see below). but both are my favorite movies of 2015 with Rogue Nation being my #1 and Spectre being my #2 spot.
as of the time of this post they made...
Spectre - $875.8mil worldwide
Rogue Nation - $682.3mil worldwide
while i gave both movies a 7.5-8/10 score, which makes them both within my Top 156 movies (out of the 1,925+ total i have seen) in general, i gave Rogue Nation the overall edge mostly because my interest is more stable throughout the movie and it has higher highs where as Spectre takes a while to get going etc.
for kicks, if i had to rank the Craig era Bond movies with the Cruise Mission Impossible movies together i would rank like this...
1.Skyfall (2012) - 8.5-9/10
2.Casino Royale (2006)
3.Mission Impossible (1996) - 7.5-8/10
-.Mission Impossible III (2006)
-.Mission Impossible: Rogue Nation (2015)
6.Spectre (2015)
7.Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol (2011) - 7/10 (is within my Top 246 movies in general)
8.Quantum of Solace (2008) - 6/10 (a mild Thumbs Up)
9.Mission Impossible II (2000) - 5/10 (Thumbs Down)

It's not a great film, but it *is* better than SPECTRE which was a big groaning disappointment--it feels like a mediocre setup for a better Bond movie, but we already *got* the better Bond movie, and from the same director to boot!
share@GavinHeisenberg I guess you could say it was... unexSPECTREd.
*crickets*
I'll show myself out.
I watched this movie to see Cruise and Baldwin. I wanted to see how they interact. Would have liked to see more interrogation scenes of Baldwin in the CIA getting ruthless in trying to catch Cruise.
