I think he would be a bad ass bond ,, he has that don't F with me acting presence .. but agree he is probably to old to start a new bond franchise .. i just hope they don't go in the complete opposite direction and cast someone way to young .. nothing would be worse then a teen bopper bond who studio heads think will bring in more of a younger mass audience

Idris is too old. Bond needs to be in his mid 30's. Brosnan was 41 during Goldeneye and immediately started showing age after TND.

You can keep these conversations intellectually honest without being racist.
There isn't a race or culture on Earth that isn't interested in preserving that which is unique to them. Whites are no different and shouldn't be. I adore Idris Elba and very much look forward to seeing much of his work and any black characters they can create for him, or especially time-enduring black based characters that last the ages. But I see no reason to keep deliberately pushing an agenda of washing everything together.
If diversity is good for the workplace, then it is good for the world. I'd very much like to see my great great great grandkids be able to see the world and appreciate all the differences there are to be had and experienced.
Otherwise, what is the future? When we're all one race and one culture, are the history books just going to say that all the "celebrate diversity" promotions were a bunch of necessary B.S. to achieve this end?

I agree that Bond should be white and British, and when I say British I mean by blood/DNA not just someone who was born in the country and now insists that they are British.
