Shes not a horrible person. but even though Piper has book smarts but she has no common sense, she does things and says thinks without thinking of the consequences.
Shes like a flake and a millenial all rolled into 1
Most times im glad when bad things happen to her. Merry Xmas to all ( and to hell with everyone else who doesn't believe)
Piper's character development has been totally unrealistic. But it's okay, I can suspend disbelief.
I suppose the writers are trying to convey the idea that prison has broken her. Her morals on the outside have become irrelevant to the world that she now lives in.
However it is implausible that she would start such a business like the underwear racket when she only has a few months on her sentence to serve.
Something else I don't understand. I though snitches were the lowest of the low in prison. I would have though her prison conditioning would have made her less likely to snitch rather than the opposite.

She did state a valid reason for starting the whole underwear racket: she needs funds for when she does come out, as she's suddenly single and a convicted felon with an uncertain future ahead of her. Not nearly as bad as most of the other inmates, but then Piper has always been pretty self-obsessed. Also we can't disregard the thought that, like Walter White, she actually did it because she enjoyed it and liked being good at it. Like she said, she wanted to "win prison".
This is my signature. There are many like it, but this one is mine.

The only debate I would have on that is that Piper comes from a pretty well-off family, and I doubt they'd toss her out on her ear (just on the grounds they strike me as the 'How would that look if we did that?' sort.)
I think she let her 'power' and 'status' get to her head, and it caused her to do some stupid stuff, and it bit her in the ass.
She's exactly what I'd call a basic bitch. Even though I like her some reason, she's so annoying and far from how things work in life, it's unbelievable.
Piper goes from being the main, and most interesting character to the more frustrating and boring character in the show very quickly after season 2 episode 2. She is pretty much a secondary character in season 2, and for season 3 she sort of embraces her prison lifestyle and the whole panty business angle is pretty cool, but her nazi-power trip plot does doesn't make any sense for her as a character, plus turns the audience against her despite her being the primary protagonist season 1. I really hate all of Piper's plot now, she became the worst character. Koalas are telepathic. Plus, they control the weather.
