Shes not a horrible person. but even though Piper has book smarts but she has no common sense,she does things and says thinks without thinking of the consequences.

It was extreme to plant the contraband, what did she think would happen? You're right, didn't expect the consequences. She could have just thrown out the panties or buried it by the body or whatever. It could have been a lot worse for her considering the what has happened to other inmates. It was kind of a make your bed, lie in it situation.
