Moby's revisionist take on Punk Rock. It's Woke too!

I lost interest in Punk in my 20s. It completely changed over last 50 years. The good artists moved on, like Lyndon's PiL.

Moby claims Punk, even Metal, promoted the Vegan religion. Certainly not in the 70s, and Moby was never Punk.

Today's Punks are clean cut social justice warriors! Rob Zombie was a vegetarian since he was 18, but became vegan after eating eggs for breakfast and realizing he couldn't do it anymore. Watch the trailer.

Haven’t seen the doco but I agree. Johnny Rotten is conservative as was Johnny Ramone. The punk of the 80’s could go either way politically and in the 90’s it was more like mainstream garage rock.

I get really tired of people like Moby applying their politics or whatever to something and saying that’s the way it is.

For a start the classic punk likes wearing leather.
