How did this score a 7.2?

I love Anne Hathaway and De Niro, but I have to say, this one was a snoozefest.

Part of the reason is the running time. For a movie that hardly has a plot, there was no reason for this movie to be more than 90-100 minutes.

By the last half hour, the movie ran it's course.

I liked it. It was very entertaining.

It's not horrible, I just question how watchable it would be without the 2 leads.

They essentially carry the whole film.

The fact that this dull sugary sweet film has a higher score than the vastly superior "The Devil Wears Prada" (also starring Anne Hathaway), speaks volume for the tastes of today's movie audiences, and where the first rule of film making for the masses, seems to be: DO NOT OFFEND ANYONE!

This 'film' having a higher score than the 'The Devil Wears Prada' seemed so unplausible to me I had to check it with IMDB!
What a nasty surprise!

reply

blah, blah, blah you think this is dull and others thought "The Devil Wears Prada" was dull. There's no reason to get offended by what other people rate a movie. Especially in the modern world where some out there rate something 1 or 0 without even watching it just because of a message in it, or because some actor that they dislike is among the cast.

Blah blah yourself dude. I take it you are part of the problem? why so many crap movies get released today? Consensus opinion is that The Devil Wears Prada is the superior film, it received and won numerous awards (Academy, Golden Globes and BAFTA), and if nothing else had a single great performance from Meryl Streep. The Intern is pablum for the masses.
