what a performance! what a film! just shows (they dont make films like this anymore) they do!!
when i sat down to watch this i didnt expect much,low budget,more or less unknown actors,jesus even buzz is in it from home alone!
by the end i couldnt believe how well made and such a great plot story this was!
maicon blair played the perfect bumbling mess of a man on a revenge path! real acting unlike the total tosh of liam neeson in taken! so real so sad and hard hitting! well done everyone behind this great piece of film! ESPECIALLY who ever wrote it!

I think he was outstanding, although not more so than Tom Hardy or Nicolas Cage.

Hopefully Blair will at least get a nomination.

I agree that his performance was oscar worthy but alas those who legitimately deserve it rarely get nominated let alone win. Another example of this would be James Cromwells performance in "Still Mine" And Tom Hardy a good actor? Were joking here right?

Did you see Hardy in Locke? He carried the entire film.

It doesn't sound like you've seen him in much.

Seen him in plenty, seen him in Locke and I stand by what I said. Another pretty boy whose career is based around his female fan base. Next you'll be telling me you think Channing Tatum is a future oscar winner

Don't be ridiculous. Tatum is not in the same league as Hardy and you know it.

I guess with Hardy you either like him or you don't.

Well I don't "Know" it or I wouldn't have made the comparison. You made reference to Nicolas Cage as well (Of whom I'm actually a big fan) but with Cage its 1 decent performance out of 10 as if the man has the ability but just doesn't try. Look at Leaving Las Vegas, he was incredible but he's done more Wicker Man level roles than Leaving Las Vegas ones. He however is still a considerably better actor (In my opinion than) Hardy who again I believe is this generations DiCaprio.....Cue the offended Leo defenders (99% of whom will be female) Each to his/her own and I respect your opinion, I just laugh at the concept of him being referred to as a talented actor

I believe both Hardy and DiCaprio are talented, you don't, and there's an end to it.

Fast forward to now and Channing Tatum is in talks as a possible Oscar contender for Foxcatcher. While I didn't think Tatum's performance was that great, especially against Carrel and Ruffalo, I just thought it was funny considering your comment a few months back.

Also, I thought Tom Hardy was fantastic in Locke.

I saw Hardy in Locke and the film really needed someone better. He just doesn't have the range to carry a film on his own.

tom hardy was brilliant in bronson! he is a great actor its sometimes his choice of roles like rubbish films that let him down fighter was truly an all time great!
as for channing tatum he is the goofy bad actor! but watch this space he's in a serious role for a new fil for november called foxcatcher look it up! that oscar maybe coming his way probably will as they always give it to the wrong actors

Macon Blair's performance was brilliant. He's got a powerful screen presence. I hope we will see him in more films.

As for Hardy and DiCaprio, there is no denying they are both very very good actors.

Exactly!! I'm so glad you said that because I tell people this all the time. Every time somebody says to me there aren't any good movies out there anymore I tell them they just aren't looking hard enough.

I just watched the film and I came on here to say the exact same thing. Full on Oscar worthy performance to the very last line "The keys are in the car" OUTSTANDING!

Yes I have no idea who this guy is but he sure did good in this film.
