Yet another PoC director with no experience

Patricia Riggen is a Mexican-American director who has made a few shorts, some TV episodes, and a couple of drama movies no one saw.

Except maybe the three episodes of the Jack Ryan series she did, nothing she’s done qualifies her to make this film.

So why did they hire her?

Besides her gender and ethnicity?

And because she was cheap?

Just be thankful they never had these diversity quotas when hollywood actually made good movies in the 70s and 80s, otherwise all our favourite movies would've sucked.

True.

And before the 70s.

True, but films from prior to that era are too slow for me, save for a few exceptions. Most of my favourite films are from the early 70s to early 90s.
