What was Longlegs doing to her (spoilers)

During the supernatural reveal that the mother narrates for us, we see a flashback where a young Agent Harker sees Longlegs tying up the mother. What's happening in that scene? ... is rape a possibility? She looks hogtied

I could be wrong, but I think we see a shadowy figure in the background? So I guess Longlegs could be doing some Satanic stuff

He's giving her a choice to spare her daughter and help him, or have her daughter killed.

Just saw it Saturday, and recall that scene. IIRC, LL was giving the mother the choice of being his "helper" or watching him do horrible things to her daughter and dying anyway. There was likely some dark magic involved there, as throughout the film.
