When I first saw it in November, I was quite underwhelmed. I consider "Still Walking" a modern masterpiece, so my expectations were pretty high.

I watched it again tonight and I actually liked it much more. It's not Kore-eda's best feature to date, but it's beautifully told. The cast is superb, the direction is very low-key and nuanced. The film might seem simple ("blood" or "nurture"? "rich" or "poor"?), but it mostly focuses on the first dilemma. If anything, our protagonist comes from the middle-class and his wife and the other family are also middle-class people. So while it shows the social differences between the two families, what matters is the time, dedication and love you give to your child. If anything, I'd say that the other father was also portrayed slightly negatively when it comes to specific traits (he was rather childish, immature and cared too much about the money the hospital owes them). The mothers were the ones who were positively portrayed. So it becomes a bit more complex than what one might expect.
It's wonderful. A little flawed (there are some "obvious" messages in the film, and this social clash could have been avoided to make things more interesting), but still engaging, thought-provoking and without cheap sentimental shtick. I recommend it.
