Yeah . . . I couldn't wait for it to end either. I actually FF'ed a bit at the end, but not too quickly so I could still read the dialogue. I just wanted to get to the end faster. Haha! Everything was slow in this movie. Slow movements. Slow responses. Slow to attack. There were quite a few times that slowness worked well, but I hit the FF button when the dad was railing at the cat and claiming it was the mother. And then the dance . . . . I FF'ed that too.
At that point, I just wanted the movie to be over. I rated it a 4.

"Pretentious hipster" is not one of them.
I didn't think the film was bad.
I don't think it was fantastic either, but it was worth the watch.
I likely won't re-watch it again.
Some people just like to watch stuff to see a story unfold.
It doesn't have to be blockbuster material. To each their own.
The problem is in the title already. Saying something is pretentious means that you think sometihng is smarter than it really is. This movie isn't pretentious, but if you think of it like that before even watching it then you won't enjoy it.
shareIt's worth a watch because the cinematography and music are fantastic. Unfortunately it has absolutely no substance beyond that which is a real let down.
I don't thing it was a waste of time but I was definitely disappointed. I gave it a 6/10 which is probably generous it's more like a 5/10 in retrospect.
