First trailer ! What do you think ?

I loved every second of it! I had high hopes for this film all along but seeing the trailer sent chills down my spine- I was truly captivated. So many of the fairy tale films we've been getting have- unfortunately- failed to live up to my expectations and I think this is mainly because the stories are tampered with to such a degree that the fairy tale charm ends up getting lost in the shuffle. With Christophe Gans's Beauty and the Beast, though, it seems like we're going to get a tried-and-true adaptation of a classic fairy tale; a story that has both darkness and light; fear and hope; resentment and romance.

The sets, the costumes, the CGI- all of it looks breath-taking and it's clear that Lea and Vincent are both going to give mesmerizing performances. I can't wait for this one!!!

Beautiful visuals and all, but I'm really not impressed with Léa Seydoux. She's rather ordinary looking and I don't like the way she delivers her lines, she sounds emotionless. Disappointed they picked her to play Belle :( Still curious to see the movie though.

I shall get spanked for this…but the trailer to me was a major downer. SO MUCH obvious cgi, not to mention the furrylover appeal that beast has…yikes! The romance doesn't look too convincing according to the trailer…aswell as: what in the earth are those monkey things?! Gans! I bet not hope you think a miyazaki feel means you have to throw in fake cgi monkey things! Because then you just don't get it at all!
The Del toro vibe is there, but definitely the bad side of the del toro vibe meaning: OBVIOUS CGI completely evaporating the whole concept of storytelling and character development.
Despite of me not having seen this I am now a prejudiced bastard saying gladly 'on to the next one'…even though I might secretly watch it for some reason to perhaps be surprised or laugh at it according to expectation.

ELITIST ANSWER! HAHA

Very good visuals. But the beast is just (and too obviously) CGI. I'd have preferred a body mask. That'd made it look more real to me.

And what are these bloody CGI pets doing in this plot? Is it that George Lucas is messing around here again?

However, I'm excited to get to hear the musical score. Hopefully it'll be good enough to add emotion to the scenes.

And hopefully they'll have pauses in their dialogs to augment the gravity of their sentenses.

I am dying to see this! Vincent Cassel as the Beast is truly inspired casting. The only thing bugging the crap out of me is CGI Beast. They should have used traditional makeup! What a misstep.
