Just watched 1st episode, not worth continuing

The Mrs and I made comments to each other that are echoed on these boards:

It is slow, but doesn't fill the audience with suspense or interest
For example, she's looking out her window at a train, irrelevant

Seems to be not enough to actually fill more than an episode of NCIS, but they're making 2 years of it.
For example, In Columbo we know who did it at the start but at least we get closure by the end of the show and can move on

How did you and the MRS. feel about the cheeseburger scene?! That was a S L O W B U R N I N G cheeseburger consumption scene! I felt like I KNEW that cheeseburger by the end of that scene! In fact.....I felt like I ATE that cheeseburger! And then against better judgement, I felt like swimming a few dozen laps in the pool immediately afterward!

The only problem here is your attention span 

STAR WARS EPISODE VIII FALL OF THE RESISTANCE

Personally I don't think anyone can make a judgement call on 1 episode of a new show. Unless its horrendously bad eg: shocking acting bad script.

I always give a new show 3 episodes minimum before I decide if I wish to continue or not. But that's just me.

Your loss.

I guess you are more into action rather than dialog or character development and psychological portrayals.

This Show is a MASTERPIECE!

I have a habit that i don't rate any show until i finish first season. The Fall has a very different approach of serial killers.
I hope season 03 will continue being great.

I don't think Columbo is in quite the same league as The Fall when it comes to sophisticated drama :-)

Its funny to see people defending an episode from people who are/were fans of the show and, at least used to, enjoy it.
The 3.1 ep was painfully boring, from the hospital procedural to the bad acting of the bratty child.
Absolutely nothing happened to further the plot.
I've seen fanbois blindly defend shows time after time, most notably the wretched last few episodes of Mr. Robot.
Apparently the majority of viewers here would be pleased if the next episode consists of Mr. Gorgeous serial killer bedpan emptying, Stella drinking wine in a bath alone at home, and Sally Ann crying herself to sleep while watching Katie cut herself on a hidden remote cam.
