Less than the sum of it's parts?

I quite like is film. It has an extravagant cast, many good and quirky moments and the little animations are great. But I don't love it and I'm wondering if it's because ultimately it's a bit showy and I don't really care about any of the characters. It reminds me of Mendel's cakes, very pretty and probably nice in moderation.

Hmmmm. I tell ya, I enjoyed this film all the way through. But right now, i'd be hard pressed to tell you about the characters and what it was about. It didn't leave much of an impact on me. I should watch this again.

no it's just symmetrical. nothing more to it. go buy a mirror and do the split thing to make the same effect and dont' bother with the film
