Whats up with Dreamworks?(Not Trolling)

They all make same movies with different protagonists. Please do not troll by saying I am Pixar fanboy or something because I am not..(But i prefer Pixar over Dreamworks anyday).

Well the issue is :
Main guy is shown really stupid whenever the movie starts, everybody hates him, but at the end he is the lifesaver and everybody loves him. Almost all their movies are same. No doubt they are great entertainment for kids as well as for grown ups. But after viewing the trailer for this one, I am pretty much pissed off. It will again have same story as how to train your dragon 2, except we will have Po's father rather than having his mother come out of nowhere.

Thought?

Did you miss KFP 2? They can clearly make a good sequel that doesn't rely on clichés.

the formulaic recipe seems to work for them... and for the audiences. so... cool

Marty or Alex were seen as stupid?

Even Shrek wasn't totally seen as "stupid".

They're actually making an animated flick called Trolls and it looks like it uses the same Dreamworks formula.

I loved this, best since the first...

Amanda Bynes is hot and Lindsay Lohan is not.

And this pertains to Kung Fu Panda 3 how exactly? Po is beloved and popular at the start of the movie, just like in Kung Fu Panda 2. He wasn't hated in the first movie either, except by Shifu and himself (and maybe Tigress) - everybody else just felt sorry for him, while Shifu saw Po as something special.

Also if you say you prefer Pixar over Dreamworks "anyday", then that smacks of you being a fanboy. You can't honestly claim that Pixar on their worst day is better than Dreamworks on their best. Compare their latest releases - KFP3 vs The Good Dinosaur on IMDb & Rotten Tomatoes.

This is the internet man, Pixar/Disney fans and DreamWorks haters abound 'round these parts.

Imho DreamWorks is far from consistent in the quality of their films, but they show a TON of potential. If they focus on darker, big epic-scaled animated films a la 'Kung Fu Panda' and 'How to Train Your Dragon' they could become the best animation studio in the country (note i said best, not necessarily the one that makes the most money).

Pixar, imho, is going downhill in quality. Even with all the praise for Inside Out - it seems like their future is better mirrored by 'Good Dinosaur.'

Plus I find it hilariously ironic that a company once lauded for its originality like Pixar has almost nothing but sequels coming up (Finding Dory, Cars 3, Toy Story 4, Incredibles 2).
