Can I be honest this should've been Don't Breathe of 2016..
Such a better movie and didn't rip off Panic Room.
Humans were never designed to live peacefully with each other, this is why we have world wars

Agreed I think I enjoyed this more than Don't Breathe. Both movies are great but this one surpasses it
shareAgree, this film has a very realistic plot line. I need to rewatch Don't Breathe, I fell asleep at certain points but as I can recall it wasn't at all near the standard of The Good Neighbour. I probably dislike because it was more fictitious. This actually made me angry watching the outcome of the very injustice verdict and the little smirk on the main boy's face was sickening. He found his fame.
They both went with the same premise but the old man character turn out opposite.
Seriously. I'm shocked this wasn't bigger. It was more much more innovative, original, and realistic. Truly a hidden treasure of thrilling suspense that easily rivals and outdoes most things in the mainstream.
shareI wouldn't say innovative, but I did like how it didn't go the route of the typical found-footage flick in that it went between what was going on in front of the camera and afterwards. I also like how there turned out to be more to the title character than he seemed to be on the surface, and how the whole setup with the hidden cameras worked out. All in all, I think the moral of the film was definitely about how one shouldn't play god with other people's lives just because you have the capacity and the means to do so. Plus it was very well acted by the three leads (particularly Keir Gilchrist, of It Follows, as the techie sidekick who was just helping his friend out---and the actors who played the lawyer and the handsome policeman.) And, yeah, I'm surprised that this film never even made it to theatres, considering all the horror films that seemed to come out one right after the other last summer (Don't Breathe included, which I also liked, actually.) This was a really good, strong suspense film (I thought it was going to be a straight-up horror film) that deserved more than the obscurity it received. It's also on Netflix, for anyone who hasn't seen it yet.
