Unnecessary nudity

I will respectfully disagree on this one. I felt that all the nude scenes were warranted for this film. Checking herself out in the mirror is the obvious one that would work regardless. The sex scenes are relatively tame and nudity is required for them. However, the general tone of this film is a bit heavier than some might give it credit for. As such, the additional nude scenes act as a way to develop our (the viewer's) sense of connection with the main character. Granted, Eva acted circles around her, but the nudity added some sense of vulnerability that I feel was necessary to appreciate this film. Was the film a home run? No. More like a ground rule double, but without the nudity, there would be much less cohesiveness as far as the character building. Also, as another poster mentioned, this is a very tame film as far as Araki goes. I found it to be well balanced and well done. A bit rushed at the end, perhaps, but worth a watch.

It added the single most important thing a movie could possibly have. Viewers!
