two guys in their early forties don't know about computers???

I have not seen the movie, but are they trying to make us believe that two guys in their early forties don't know about Internet or computers? If that is the case it does not make any sense. I have never met someone that age who doesn't know how to use computers. People that age who have lived on planet Earth have been using Internet and computers for at least 15 years. If they were in their 70's maybe, but even lots of people in their 70's know how to Skype, surf and send mails.

The only way this situation could work is that the guys were time travelers who came from a time before the nineties.

The vast majority of people I've seen online have been in their 20's so naturally there's gay marriage signs, religion bashing and complaining about drugs not being legal all over the place so I for one can buy it.

This is yours, that is yours, so what? It's everybody's planet.

Well I work in a call center and can testify that there are quite a few 40 year olds not comfortable with computers. Hell, they even have trouble operating their tvs. For that matter, my younger brother isnt as adept at computers as I am...which I find puzzzling. But there you go, for some technology is not their thing

Yeah, I don't really get this.. My father is in his forties and briefly knows how to open a browser and type in an address he has written down. He would have no idea what any program on it is. He barely knows how to use his iPhone and hates the damn thing. I think he probably only knows what google, facebook, twitter is from my other family members using or talking about it, and the stock market. Thassss about it

They know of computers and know how to operate them at the most basic level, but couldn't run a game or anything unknown and start playing around intuitively.

There's a world of difference in knowing how to use a computer and knowing how to use a computer well enough to work at Google.

Brad Pitt, you're on my s***list.

I had a commodore 64 when it first came out in the 80's. that was during high school years. I was able to create my own games by entering code and then I would upload those games onto BBS's. Way before AOL there were a lot of people who hosted online boards. The modem speeds were very slow back then.

People in their 40's can live WITHOUT computers because most of us did for the first 15-20 years of our lives. It was actually kind of nice too.

Stupidity is the hallmark of humanity, the torch that is passed down throughout the ages.
