OTish - Best Movie In a Horror Series

Of these Horror series, which do you think is the best entry in each? It's been a while since there was last one of these little survey topics. Add more to the list if you'd like with your choices. Thought this would be a neat questionaire to share here, with a new Child's Play film on the way.

Not disrespecting your opinion, but why do you like it? I honestly can't stand it, but I'd like to know your view.

On the subject of anthologies, I remembered Nightmares, Body Bags and the two Trilogy Of Terror movies. I haven't seen any in so long (I've never even seen the original TOT, just the original), but I recall my favorite segments in each respective one were the Bishop Of Battle, the gas station segment in Body Bags and of course the Zuni Doll segment in TOT2.

reply

Giving this a small bump after Willow Otter's spam attack earlier that buried a bunch of threads.

reply

After seeing The Exorcist for the first time recently I'm intrigued to see the sequels and prequels, I have my doubts any of them are as good as the original, though.

Watching some Tales From The Crypt episodes again, my favorite episode of Season 6 might now be Comes The Dawn. It's between that one or Doctor Of Horror for that season, it was one of the weaker ones but those two episodes were bright spots in it, IMO.

Having watched the Tales From The Darkside movie for the first time in many years earlier, I think my new favorite segment in it is Lover's Vow. All three of the stories in it are good, but that one in particular is the most mature and well-crafted, IMO.

I also think that's the first time I've ever seen anyone cite The Next Generation as their favorite TCM film. Why do you like it the best? I'm curious.

With Horror shows I was thinking The Twilight Zone and The Outer Limits (and their various incarnations) would be good additions. It's been forever since I last watched any TZ episodes but I remember the 90s Outer Limits fairly well. I remember some of my favorite episodes were The Sandkings, Music Of The Spheres and Corner Of The Eye.
