Watching it now, wondering why I'm watching an English Language movie that has a dubbed over voice. It's blarringly obvious.
I wouidnt say she was young young in the flashback.
I think "younger" Elise in the flashback was in her 40s before she gets really old.
Turning test screenings the 3 groups all 16-27 years old had problems connecting young Elise & old Elise. Many did not understand the connection.
The dubbing helped immensely in that age bracket. Target audience.
I assumed that maybe that actress who played young Elise had an annoyingly squeaky voice or something and that's why they decided to dub it. Still though, very obvious and dumb. I agree
