I loved this movie and can't believe how bad it did at the box office...

It was well-written, the actors were excellent, it addressed various age groups... What happened at the box office? This movie had way more depth than "No Strings Attached" (which did well at the box office). Was it toooo deep for the average 13-year-old mentality?

Deep? I don't know that there's anything deep about "Stuck in Love". It operates completely on the surface. That being said, I think the film deserves better than it's gotten. It's a nice little film, within the realm of mainstream escapism. The problem is, I think it turned a lot of people off with its pretentious non-insights and the fact that the drama in the film is completely framed around characters with literary ambitions that very few viewers share. I was able to look past this, and find a film that worked well as a simple and elementary, but entertaining mainstream drama. I think it's a decent film. This type of cinema doesn't much appeal to me, but I liked this one more than most of its kin.

Depth? Really? Nothing really happens in this movie. It isn't bad, it isn't good, it's nothing. So I find the 7,3 way too high. I understand what happened at the box office, it got what it deserved.

I love it as well but can see how it failed at the box office: no really big stars (one could make a case for Jennifer Connelly) and it just has a "small" movie feel to it. and of course the promotion and release date didn't help either.
