Outdrawing Top Gun: Maverick and Barbie???

I've just heard this movie is now over $1.5B gross receipts and is in the Top 10 of ALL TIME!

The 2015 original made a little over $850M: certainly successful, but was ANYONE expecting a sequel to almost DOUBLE that?

I'm flabbergasted!

Yes, it made a lot of money, but I'm sure most of the people who saw it can barely remember it today. I was there on opening weekend (less than 5 months ago), and I've almost forgotten this exists.

The original 2015 movie remains a masterpiece for the ages!
