I haven't been a gamer for years, but this game, the trailer, and the reviews have made me want to buy a used PS3 and start playing again. I love adventure games (played Monkey Island when it first came out) and this strikes me as an up-to-date version of what I dug about them.

I literally just finished it; credits are currently rolling. I loved Heavy Rain and I'll play The Last of Us a few more times, but I couldn't wait for this one to end.
Spending a couple hundred on a system for one game is insane though.
Curious if you ended up buying a PS3.
I really enjoyed this game, but there are many adventure games that would make owning the system worthwhile. Life is Strange is the latest, but the Telltale games, like Walking Dead, Wolf Among Us, and more are also very worthy.
And if you go beyond adventure games, the PS3 has a lot of exclusives that really can't be played anywhere else - except for remasters on the PS4, which might be the better choice at this point. In fact, Beyond: Two Souls (and the creator's prior game Heavy Rain) are both coming to PS4 in remastered form this month I believe. All of the Telltale games and Life is Strange are on it, too.
I haven't yet. But only because I haven't gotten round to it. I fully intend to get it. I doubt I'd play all that often (famous last words!) so buying a PS4 doesn't appear to be a wise decision. Recently watched a ton of game trailers on YouTube and caught some really interesting oldies that I could get into.
