With my eyes glued to the set in a room with a large coffeepot, no-one else and the phone turned off. I didn't feel like a Downton Abbey party celebration. I feel the solitary nature of watching it dovetailed with the series in general.
It works, thematically. Also, no interruptions when you're by yourself. This show really does demand a lot from the viewer!
