Does anyone else think The Dark Knight Returns is better than The Dark Knight Rises?

I'm prepared to be the minority on this one. Just curious what others think.

Better? This is the best movie (animated ot not) of batman I believe.

The Dark Knight Rises? The Dark Knight Returns is better than The Dark Knight. There's never been a better animated comic book movie.

My cat's litter box is better than The Dark Knight Rises. You are in NO way a minority, sir. Everyone I know hates Dark Knight Rises.

Comparing a cartoon to a movie doesn't make much sense.

Cartoons can be movies, assuming they're feature length, which this is, especially with both parts edited together.

I mean, really, how many times will you look under Jabba's manboobs?

Without a shadow of a doubt. Nolan'sKnight is a mother-fixated, tactically incompetent, enfeebled travesty of Kane and Finger's seminal archetype. 'Nolan'sKnight Rises' shouldn't even be thought of as a proper Batman film, IMHO.

An opinion is not offensive just because you do not agree with it.

I loved "The Dark Knight", so I'm not biased. I found "The Dark Knight Rises" both a mess and a waste of good actors. Yes, TDKR is absolutely better. Heck, most episodes of the animated series are better than "The Dark Knight Rises"...

My dream would be a live action version of "Returns" with Mark Hamill playing the older Joker. I don't think we will ever see that.
