Dry-erase markers used in the movie?

Weird question... Does anyone know the brand of dry-erase markers that Affleck's character used in the movie?

Hoping they're an actual product and not just designed for the film.

You may have to watch it again. I think they showed the box they came in.

Oh and I found another person asking the same thing in a graphics forum. It was closed due the fact it had nothing to do with graphics.

Hah. I found the same forum, with the admin suggesting posting the question in the movies stack-exchange.

Good suggestion on trying to get a screen grab of the scene!

Hopefully someone else has already done this..

Screen grabs are going to be pretty hard until they release it on video. Or it hits the bootleg circuit.

You can buy dry erase markers practically anywhere. Was there something special about the brand he used that you liked?

Fully aware this is a ridiculous question and that I could just buy dry-erase markers pretty much anywhere..

But I'm kind of a design nerd and there was something about those markers that caught my eye.

Well, as long as you are aware of the ridiculous nature of your question, then I suppose it's okay.

For what it's worth, I have been a designer (structural, packaging, and graphics) for 20 years, but those dry erase markers didn't tickle my creative fancy in any way. But to each his or her own.

If they are real their placement was poor marketing since he ran through like five or six just writing on a few walls.

The point about dry-erase markers, is that they can be erased ; so he could have written over all the walls a dozen times. We don't see TA rubbing anything out, but nor do we see him going to the lavatory.

I am a CPA. We use dry erase boards to show calculations in meetings.

At one point he's using a Sanford Sharpie chisel point and it's pretty easy to see the brand. The large markers he's using appear to be the Sanford Sharpie Magnum markers. The big difference is that the typical opaque plastic tops have been replaced with transparent ones. I guess that is so it's easier to tell he is using a marker.

I've been using Magnums for a good 25 years and i can well say that the markings on the walls, board, etc were not done with a Magnum. The Magnum is the largest chisel point marker you can get. The numbers written were done with a smaller marker. The Sharpie version I mentioned first could easily write those. Sanford calls it the Sharpie Professional chisel point.
