Sell me on that, because I was rather blown away and shocked that there is a critical consensus of shabbiness. I like The Cell, LOVE The Fall, and this was 0 percent dissapointing. I don't even normally like Reynolds that much and I thought it was his finest hour.
shareI don't know. In recent years, it seems average ratings on imDb have just been going lower and lower (unless we're dealing with blockbusters, which often get ratings I find too high). I suspect a large chunk of the membership left after they removed the forums, so they're suffering from a smaller sample size of total voters. That being said, I personally find this film to be about a 7 and it's at 6.5 right now. I've seen worse ratings on imDb for films I quite enjoyed.
