The Most inspirational film ever.

I was actually shocked I had never heard of this man's story before this film. This man walked into one of the bloodiest battles of the war...without carrying a single weapon and saved 75 Men from what would have been a certain death. A True story like no other...actual eyewitness accounts of what really happened. Making his fellow soldier's, who doubted he was even a real man.. and that they could even count on him in battle...cry because they were so wrong about him. WOW.

Did you see the documentary movie about him? It was out long before this movie. Such a good inspirational fella, a true super hero, and yes I was shocked I'd never heard of him too!

Desmond's story could have easily filled a few more hours, as much as I appreciate this film, a HBO mini-series may have been the way to go.

I have not seen the documentary about him. Thanks for this. I will check it out.

"who did this?"

Doss, just a 7th-day Adventist

It takes real courage to stand up for your beliefs when the easy thing is to cave in and go along to get along.
His fellow soldiers shouldn't have been surprised that his courage would carry over to the battlefield.
