Didn't think I would cry
but I did. Like a freaking baby
shareI don't remember the movie ever getting sad. Did you cry because of something sad in the movie or from laughing hard? I don't remember it being THAT funny but there were some silly bits.
shareMax saying goodbye to Nancy at the end, saying she wanted to save her and not being able to say goodbye to her (in the real world) was pretty heartbreaking.
sharethe scene between Vicki/Gertie and the dance scene with Nancy tear my apart
shareI cried as well. Nancy and Max saying their goodbyes to each other was already emotional enough, but when she was going out to sacrifice herself for Max and started dancing to 'Bette Davis Eyes', I couldn't stop crying. I think what made it even more emotional is that 'Bette Davis Eyes' was Max and her mother's song, and they were listening to it together before the car accident. And the shots cutting back to Max bawling her eyes out while Nancy was sacrificing herself kept making me cry even more.
I guess it's also because I'm really close to my mother, so that's why the movie was so emotional at times for me.
I bawled at the end when Max was saying goodbye to Nancy. Too emotional.
shareI ugly cried hardcore and then had a really strong urge to call my mom. Such a fantastic scene, and the film overall was incredible.
shareI definitely teared up during Max and Nancy's final goodbyes. Then when Betty Davis' Eyes started playing again, I lost it. Full tears streaming down my cheeks. Who knew that it would be so emotional?!

Does anyone else think that Nancy still didn't quite believe Max (about being her mother in the real world) until she walked out of the church and Betty Davis Eyes started playing? That's when she looks back at Max and then decides to dance and smile for her, before her death of course.
